Get wet... Get dirty...Get involved
The Clean Sweep is an annual volunteer event focused on removing trash and restoring the health of the Great Miami River. This river cleanup is about much more than picking up trash. It’s a day for communities to demonstrate their desire for clean water and healthy rivers. It’s an opportunity to learn about our river, and it’s a time to come together with your families, your neighbors, your community, and your friends to accomplish something vital and worthy on behalf of our Great Miami River. This cleanup is coordinated by many partners and attended by hundreds of wonderful volunteers.
Northern Section (from Indian Lake to Franklin) will be held in July. Dates may vary slightly, but most plan to go out on Friday, July 17th.
Southern Section (from Franklin to the Ohio River) will be held on October, 24.
You can pre-register to make sure you receive a t-shirt.
A waiver will need to be signed by all participants and those 18 years of age or younger will need a parent or guardian signature. You can sign a copy at the event, we provide this in case you are bringing minors that you are not the parent or guardian for.
All children under the age of 16 must have an adult with them. If you are bringing minors that you are not the parent or guardian of, make sure to bring a signed waiver for them.
Thank you to the many hundreds volunteers that joined us for the Clean Sweep events that happened in 2018.
